Policeman Made A Deal With Slum Kids For All The Right Reasons

Constable Dharmvir Singh from New Delhi has come up with a permanent solution for kids who were chased away by cops for selling papads on Nizamuddin railway station. Dharamvir made a deal with 9 year old Satya and others, "Study for an hour and you can sell your papads."

He was wretched by the situation of these kids who had no other way to earn their livelihood. He decided to give these kids basic education by calling them to his duty station. In an interview with NDTV, Dharamvir said  in order to change the society we need to educated more people like Satya.

‘If every policeman teaches at least two kids, it will be a great contribution towards a better tomorrow.’

Dharamvir is teaching eight such kids. They come to him whenever they get free time and utilize it by learning something rather than fighting and quarreling.

We truly salute Dharamvir for what he is doing and would love to see more people come forward and be a helping hand to him. Do share his story with everyone and tell us your views in the comment section below.
