A Ride Named Samadhi : 4-D Experience Of Death In China’s Theme Park
Well, as we all know amusement parks do have rides with near to
death experience, but this unique ride named ‘Samadhi’ allows participants to
experience cremation. Located in China at World Amusement Park, Shenzhen.
Samadhi takes you through three parts, death, cremation and then rebirth.
Things will start off with you lying in the morgue like a corpse. You will be
taken to a crematorium in a luxurious casket where you will be cremated.
Once inside, the participant will experience hot blasts of air (up-to 40 C) and light to simulate fire. After cremation it’s time for rebirth. Participant sees a picture of womb projected on the ceiling and finally crawls out in a padded area resembling womb. The creators of the ride, to ensure accurate simulation also went to real crematorium and placed themselves in for exact experience.
