Average Or Beautiful? What These Women Chose Was Far-Fetched
'Beautiful' is a great word and it depends upon your way of confronting it. Whether you are beautiful or not is influenced by the society you live in or is it what you think of yourself as a person?
In order to know the answer Dove put up a campaign in five global cites : Shanghai, London, Delhi, San Francisco and Sao Paulo. They put up sign boards on two adjacent doors one declaring 'Average' and the other 'Beautiful'. By their surprise more than 90 percent women walked through the door flashing 'Average'. When they where interviewed for their decision, the answers where shocking. None of them made their decisions by their own. They were all guided by the views of the society and what the other person thinks of them and those who chose beautiful were free in their decision making. Their answers were inspiring too.
