13 Year Old Entrepreneur Shubham Banerjee

It is the power of curiosity that made humans advanced and imaginative. Thirteen year old Shubham Banerjee had been awarded Venture Capital funding from world's largest chip maker Intel for making Braille Printer, designed to help blind people.

It was out of curiosity when Shubham asked his parents about how does blind people read. He kept searching internet for relevant answers to feed his inquisitive mind. Finally he decided to make a braille printer and present it in his next science exhibition. The young lad got positive feedback from everyone. He kept himself busy developing functionality of the product and it wasn’t long enough till he got himself noticed by big companies.

Shubham was just trying to help the society with his innovation but never thought it will take such a big shape. Intel Developer Forum's funding will boost up Banerjee's new start-up Braigo Labs. As he is just a minor now, her mother Malini Banerjee will be the president of the lab.

The best part of the printer is that it is a low cost machine which will find traction in developing countries too. It is expected to cost $ 350- 500.
