Glass Bodied Train In India
Implementing innovative ideas is the
key factor in boosting up tourism. Tourism Ministry has come up with a very
distinctive idea of offering glass bodied trains for tourists so that they can
experience 180 degree view of the scenery. The train will be running between
Vishakhapatnam and Araku with initial two coaches.
The Government is also planning to
take the glass bodied train to the Valleys of Kashmir between Baramulla and
Qazigund. Target is to introduce these trains in high tourist footfall
areas.
The tourism ministry would be paying
Rs 4 Crore to IRCTC to provide the coaches. As far as rates are concerned, it
would be 5% upwards of the normal AC coach fare in the pilot run.
